Full Circle: A Year of Sisu Stitchery
In January of 2025, I decided to get serious about my embroidery business. I applied to my very first market (The Tenino Arts Spring Market) and took a deep breath. A few weeks later, I got the notification that I was accepted! I was so excited and so nervous. That March, I set up my table with a handful of embroidery kits, a few hand-sewn journals, a trembling heart, and the hope that someone would appreciate my art.
That first market taught me so much. I connected with so many folks who told me things like, “Wow. I haven’t embroidered since I was a kid.” And, “My grandmother taught me how to embroider. I am so glad to see these kits.” It was incredible.
The Tenino Arts Spring Market gave me the courage to move forward and pursue Sisu Stitchery. I wouldn’t be where I am today without that opportunity and all of your support. (I’m seriously getting teary-eyed writing this!)
It’s a year later, and I’m prepping for my second market season. And, guess what? My first market of the season is the Tenino Arts Spring Market. It’s truly a full-circle moment.
Here I am at the 2025 Tenino Arts Spring Market! I had just finished setting up my booth for the very first time. I was so nervous and also very tired. Haha!
Here is where you can find me this spring!
